Beans on toast

A British classic

Ingredients:

  • Sourdough bread: 2 slices
  • Baked beans: 1 tin
  • Butter: Big knob
  • Smoked salt: A generous pinch
  • Pepper: 3 grinds

Method:

  1. Put the beans in a saucepan on a high heat and cook for 5 mins
  2. Toast the bread
  3. Butter the toast
  4. Pour the beans onto the toast
  5. Add the salt and pepper
